Job: Medical anatomy professor
For fun: Aikijujutsu, atemijutsu, kenjutsu, jojutsu student/instructor
Location: West Virginia
I grew up in Casper, WY. before going to College at Carnegie Mellon U. in Pittsburgh, PA. After two years of being kicked around by corporate America as a retail monkey, I got into grad school at Purdue.
After seven years of trial and error, I graduated from Purdue with a MS in Biomedical Science and a PhD in Anatomy Education. My wife, Sarah, graduated at the same time from the Purdue Veterinary School. We found jobs in Lewisburg, WV and are leading life like a couple of happy DINKs (Double income no kids). I teach anatomy, neuroanatomy, and the musculoskeletal system (in conjunction with other faculty) here at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and love what I do. I've taken 120 hours of the Osteopathic Manipulations classes here and really dig it. So if anyone needs their spines crunched, just let me know.
Sarah and I got married in September 2005 and went for a week-long honeymoon in Costa Rica. We had a great time and look forward to travelling more after we pay off our damned credit card debt which is lingering from college/grad school. She is a veterinarian here in town and enjoys everything about the job except for late-night emergency calls.
I opened the Greenbrier Traditional Martial Arts Society in November, and so far that has been going well. We're in the black each month, but it'll be awhile before I can replay myself for the start-up costs.
Spare time is taken up by: Movies, reading, writing, and compulsively adding books to our library/dining room. I play broomball twice a week and we've got five cats and a dog.

STUDENTS:
If you are currently a medical student in one of my classes, I can't add you as a friend. Its strictly a professionalism issue. After I'm no longer teaching your class, we can pal around to our mutual content.
If I am your martial arts instructor, kindly don't read my journal or add me as a friend. I do not discuss my students' or instructors' personal business here. I'd rather maintain a professional relationship with my students and not have you confuse my demeanor online with my demeanor on the mat. Thank you for respecting my wishes.
